

ARIEL CRAWLEY

Ariel serves as Community Engagement for Indy Women in Tech (IWiT). IWiT is a non-profit organization that inspires women and girls of all ages to pursue employment in Indiana by introducing them to experiences and career opportunities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). IWiT also provides the necessary financial support, mentoring, training, and education for tech-related careers.
In her previous position, Ariel served as the Director of IvyWorks-Indy Women in Tech at IvyTech Community College. The program helped women enter the Indiana tech workforce by providing scholarships, wrap-around support, professional development, and internships. Ariel was named 2019 Mira Award Tech Educator of the year due to her commitment to students in her program and hard work to expose women in her program to the possibilities in tech. Her dedication and persistence in helping women enter the tech workforce allows women to accomplish their dreams, careers, and realize financial success.
Ariel believes in giving back to those in need. For 20 years, she has volunteered with the Indiana Black Expo Youth Leadership Summit. For the past five years, she has served as chair of the Summit. Ariel also serves as a mentor with Engaged Mentoring and a member of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. In previous years she has served as Club Advisor for New Era Church Key Club. In her spare time, Ariel enjoys reading and spending time with her 13-year-old daughter, Jayla.
